6 Skincare Tips For Every Working Person

Don’t get enough time to take care of your skin? Here are 6 skincare tips that can easily fit into your schedule.

With busy careers, meetings and family obligations, some people get little time to take care of themselves. Workouts get missed. Meals get skipped and skincare, particularly the face, ends up taking a backseat. With all that stress and increasing pollution and extreme weather, your skin can become dull and lifeless. You need a simple self-care ritual that will help take care of your skin/face.

Scroll down to find some simple and effective skin care tips for the busiest of people.

1. Avoid applying makeup every day

Having to spend more than 8 hours in makeup can be harmful to your skin. If you go to the office with full makeup, it is not the healthiest practice. Makeup particles can accumulate into the pores which can lead to skin problems. If possible, go to the office without wearing any makeup. If you decide to go sans makeup, don’t forget to properly cleanse your face and moisturize it. Also, don’t forget to apply sunscreen.

2. Wash your face after coming back home

Pollution and other environmental factors can lead to the accumulation of dirt and impurities on the skin. Not cleaning your face properly can lead to problems. Invest in a good cleanser for your face and make it a habit to wash your face after coming back from a day at work. This will help you protect your skin from damage.

3. Don’t skip sunscreen

Sunscreen is a must in every skincare regimen. Make sure to apply sunscreen before going to work and re-apply as needed. Do not skip sunscreen on rainy days either. The harmful rays of the sun can harm you even during the greyest of days. Studies have shown that not applying sunscreen and ignoring environmental triggers can lead to skin problems such as pigmentation and skin allergies.

4. Get proper sleep

Believe it or not, lack of sleep is one of the worst things you could do to your skin. Going to sleep late and getting up early can lead to a variety of problems. For your skin, nighttime is repair time. If your skin does not have time to repair, you are inviting all types of potential problems.

5. Follow a nighttime skincare routine

Don’t have time to follow a skincare regime in the morning? Try following one in the evening. Studies have shown that your skin is in healing mode at night, so a nighttime routine will only benefit your skin. First, clean your skin. Apply a nighttime moisturizer. As you are applying the moisturizer gently give yourself a facial massage. Massaging your face will increase blood flow and help spur collagen production. Do this regularly and you will see a difference.

6. Exfoliate your skin

Exfoliating is good for your skin as it helps remove the build-up of dry skin. You should exfoliate your skin twice a week. Regular exfoliating of your skin will transform your complexion and make it look soft and glowing. You can use a mild scrub or homemade scrub and gently exfoliate the skin slowly. Do this twice a week to see the difference.

Going a million miles an hour is exhausting both mentally and physically. Seems everyone is pushing harder and harder and your skin is taking a beating daily. Try these simple things and you will see a difference.
